BEER BATTER FOR HALIBUT

(OR OTHER WHITE FISH)

Cut fish into similar sizes 1” wide x 2” long

Place on a paper towel to wick off moisture

the batter adheres better.

One bottle of vegetable oil in a pan with tall sides.

Heat so a drop of batter turns brown and floats quickly.

BATTER

  • 1 Cup Flour

  • 1 Cup Corn Starch

  • 2 ½ tsp Baking Powder

  • 2 tsp Sugar

  • 2 tsp Salt

  • ¾ tsp Garlic Powder

  • 1 tsp Ginger Powder

  • 1 Can of Beer that has been pre-opened so it is flat

    Mix above will cover 1-2 lbs of Fish

Drop Fish in Batter then in Hot Oil, It rises to the top of the oil when it is cooked
