COFFEE CAKE
INGREDIENTS –COFFEE CAKE
- 1 CUP LIQUID SHORTENING
- 1 CUP SUGAR
- 2 EGGS
- ½ TSP SALT
- 2 TSP BAKING POWDER
- 3 CUPS FLOUR
- 1 CUP MILK
- 1 TSP VANILLA
- ½ CUP MELTED BUTTER
COFFEE CAKE BATTER, CREAM SHORTENING & SUGAR, ADD EGGS. MEASURE FLOUR, SALT AND BAKING POWDER. ALTERNATE FLOUR WITH THE MILK. ADD VANILLA LAST
INGREDIENTS - FILLING
- 1 ½ CUPS BROWN SUGAR
- 1 CUP PEACANS
- 2 TSP CINNAMON
SPREAD ½ THE BATTER MIXTURE IN A GREASED 9 X 12 INCH PAN
SPRINKLE HALF THE FILLING OVER IT
REPEATTHE ABOVE
POUR THE MELTED BUTTER OVER THE COFFEE CAKE
BAKE AT 375 FOR 30 MINUTES
