BACON, GRUYERE AND HAM STRATA

 This is a casserole that can be made ahead and cooked when needed

  • 2 cups Milk
  • 1 cup chopped green onions
  • 1 cup of eggs
  • 1 TBLS Dijon mustard
  • ¼ tsp of ground red pepper
  • 12 ounces or 10 cups of Sourdough / French bread cut in 1” cubes
  • ¾ cup diced ham
  • Cooking spray
  • 1 cup shredded gruyere cheese or cheddar cheese
  • 4 bacon slices cooked and crumbled

 

Combine first five ingredients and stir with whisk. Add bread and ham mix well.

Pour into 2-quart baking dish coated in cooking spray. Sprinkle cheese on top.

Cover and refrigerate until needed.  Bake at 350 for 20 minutes then add bacon sprinkles

 Cookanother 15 minutes.  Cheese should be melted and bubbly.  Serves 6.
